Kasper Schmeichel – 6

His distribution at times inconstant but he did little about Firmino’s two close-range finishes. Also sent the wrong way for Milner’s penalty ahead of Alexander-Arnold to blast a fourth past him. His saves good but almost seemed effortless denying Mane moments after the opener.

Ricardo Pereira – 6

Too busy in defence to deal with A. Arnold’s crosses but with Clever footwork in attack in the opening 15 minutes and during a brief phase on the front foot in the second half.

Jonny Evans – 5

Too careless passing out to Wijnaldum early on for a salah chance. Also mis-controlled to allow Mane a shot at goal.

Alisson – 8

Didn’t face a shot of any description before the interval and didn’t have an actual shot to save at any point in the game.
