Mason Mount has had a great start to his career at Chelsea, and after setting up a Champions League-winning goal for Kai Havertz, his teammate has been left in no doubt about his qualities.
Havertz endured a mixed start to life in west London, but the form the 22-year-old has shown since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel has given the Chelsea fanbase hope that the German may kick on and justify the hefty £72million price tag placed on his shoulders.
It is worth mentioning is that a significant amount of Havertz’s success of late has come through a link-up with the versatile Mount, with the two appearing to develop a great understanding on the pitch.

The Blues’ Champions League winner came through the pairings excellent link-up play, with Mount playing an excellent well-weighted pass for Havertz to convert and it’s fair to say that the former Bayern Leverkusen star is looking forward to further enhancing his partnership with Chelsea’s number 19.
“He’s an unbelievable player,” Havertz told the Athletic.
“He has so much talent. Our understanding is so good and I think it can be better this season than last season, because we know each other better.
“I love to play with him because he’s a very good player and he makes some good assists for me.
But it’s not only Havertz who holds Mount in high regard as six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has previously stated his admiration for Chelsea’s Player of the year
Last year, Mount was amongst Messi’s list of exciting talents who are destined for great success in the future.
Messi said: “‘Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best.’”
Whilst a world-class striker is an absolute must for the club, with Romelu Lukaku heavily linked with a move to the Blues, Chelsea will need Mount to continue his fine form if they are to push Manchester City for the Premier League title.
