Arsenal new boss Mikel Arteta has completed his first signing after handing club youngster Harry Clarke a new long term deal.

The 37-year-old tactician signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Gunners this month as replacement for Unai Emery.

Arteta spent the last three seasons assisting Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and won two Premier League titles in the process.

Reports from the north London side reveal the Spaniard’s first assignment is to steady the club’s drowning ship – as they currently sit outside of the top ten teams on the table after 18 games.

“It is my pleasure to have completed the long term sign to this great club, Hard working continues”, says Harry Clarke.
