Contrary to previous reports, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has revealed that Nigerian students will not returning to class anytime sooner as Nigerian schools will not reopen until it is safe to do so because of the covid-19 pandemic.
News For WAEC Candidates
The Federal Government of Nigeria declared that there will be no WAEC exams in Nigeria this year.
Every student preparing for Senior Secondary School West African Examination, 2020, should take note of the fact that the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared that such an exam will not take place this year.
The decision was made in other to ensure the safety of Nigerian students.
Furthermore, it was earlier speculated that the WAEC Exam will hold in some few weeks time, but the recent news from the Federal Government states otherwise. I.e. It has contradicted the earlier report.
This information was made known by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu.
Mal. Adamu Adamu made this known after the recent Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting which held on Wednesday.
“West African Examinations Council (WAEC) cannot determine the resumption date of schools for Nigeria.” He stated.
More also, the federal government also revealed that there is no date for the resumption of school nationwide.
The Federal Government’s main concern is the health of Nigerian students.
In conclusion, the Federal Government has also declared that it prefares if Nigerian students loses an academic year, rather than exposing them to Covid-19.
But, is it that schools might not reopen any moment from now? Does it mean that students resuming or graduating this year will not resume to school?
