Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a target for Chelsea and Manchester United
Even Spanish giants Barcelona are interested in having the super striker
Aubameyang’s deal at Arsenal will come to an end at the end of next season
Chelsea have reportedly joined Spanish giants Barcelona and Manchester United in the race to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who could leave the Emirates this summer.
Manchester United were the first to show interest in the signing of the Gabonese footballer whose contract at the club will expire in 2021.
But according to the report on UK Sun, Arsenal chiefs are aware that the former Borussia Dortmund striker is not ready to sign a new deal at the Emirates stadium.
Since joining Arsenal in January 2018, Emerick Aubameyang has scored 61 goals in 96 games for the North London side.
But lack of winning any trophy since he joined most especially losing the Europa League final against Chelsea has made Aubameyang to conclude his mind on leaving Arsenal.
He wants to move to a club where he can win titles before he retires from the game of football.
And as it looks this season, Arsenal cannot win any title after crashing out of all competitions and they are also out of the Premier League race.
What the Gunners are majorly after is for them to finish among the top four this season which will also be difficult for them.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard thinks Aubameyang can provide good competition for Tammy Abraham at Stamford Bridge and wants the club’s chiefs to sign him.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Frank Lampard disclosed Callum Hudson-Odoi has almost made a full recovery after the Chelsea forward recently tested positive for the deadly coronavirus.
Hudson-Odoi was confirmed to have contracted the virus last week, prompting Chelsea to close their training facilities as players and staff moved to self-isolate.
Goal reports the London club has since reopened their training ground, but Hudson-Odoi and those he may have come contact with remain isolated.
Lampard has now come out to reveal the Blues winger’s recovery is progressing well, adding the English international “almost feels his usual.
The Englishman further took time to challenge everyone to take each other as the pandemic ravages the world.
