Chelsea winger Willian could join Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer if Mikel Arteta’s side qualify for the Champions League, according to reports.
Willian’s current deal expires this summer with the club stalling on a new contract for the 31-year-old.
The Metro claims it could open the door for Arsenal to raid their rivals as they look to boost their squad after an underwhelming season so far.
A deal for Willian could depend on the Gunners qualifying for the Champions League, but there is eight points between them and Chelsea in fourth.

The midfielder is the son of former Homes Under the Hammer host Lucy Alexander and ex-Wimbledon star Stewart.
Olivier Giroud could be set to stay at Stamford Bridge with Frank Lampard keen to tie him down to a new deal.

Drinkwater, 30, is not allowed to face parent club Chelsea at Villa Park on Saturday.
Then their game with Newcastle that was scheduled for Saturday 21 has been postponed as the Geordies are in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

That means Drinkwater will not be available to play again until the visit of Midlands rivals Wolves on April 4.
Chelsea have received a boost in their bid to sign Jadon Sancho after Borussia Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed they would consider letting him leave.
The England international has been in incredible form for the German giants, scoring 14 goals and setting up a further 15 in the Bundesliga this season.
And although Dortmund would love to hold onto the talented teenager, they are prepared to discuss his exit should he want to go.
Watzke told RMC Sport: “Jadon is a very, very great talent, perhaps the greatest currently in Europe among players under the age of 21.
“In my opinion, he has the potential to become one of the top two or three players in the world in the years to come.
“We will do our best to keep him as long as possible. We have a very good relationship with him.
“But if one day, he comes to see us and tells us that he wants to leave the club, then we will discuss it.”
Sancho is also a target for Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
