Chelsea remain firmly in the fight for a top-four finish this season and are in the latter stages of the Champions League but new signings are yet to be seen.

Frank Lampard was restricted upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge due to the FIFA-imposed transfer ban but that was lifted for the New Year – although new arrivals are yet to be made.

The legendary midfielder is pushing for his first Blues signing before the transfer window closes on Friday evening though, with contact made with Napoli regarding Dries Mertens.

The Belgium international is among the many forwards that have been linked with a move to West London this month, following on from the likes of Edinson Cavani, Krzysztof Piątek and Moussa Dembele.

On top of that, exits could also be on the cards with news that approaches have been made for the services of those who are approaching the end of their deals.

Warning off: Frank Lampard escaped sacking after blabbing on the VAR errors

Following on from the report of Lazio tracking Olivier Giroud, Corriere Dello Sport via Sport Witness states three Chelsea players have been offered to the Serie A side.

Joining Giroud in being waved in the face of the Italian side is Pedro and Willian, both of whom are out of contract at the end of the season.

It’s added that Roma were also offered Pedro’s services.

Lazio are the latest club to register an interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with moves for the out-of-contract Frenchman this month.

Sky Sports report that Lazio are the latest Serie A club to target the 33-year-old.

Chelsea are yet to make a signing during the January transfer window.

Frank Lampard’s striker pursuit has so far failed to bear any fruit, which has stalled a potential exit for Olivier Giroud.

Whilst Krzysztof Piatek joining Hertha Berlin, Chelsea have pursued other avenues and could still add to their striking department before the end of the month.

With the club hopeful of at least one Deadline Day arrival, bookmakers Sport Nation have revealed who they are tipping Chelsea to sign before the end of the transfer window.

Barcelona are weighing up a last-minute offer for Brazilian winger Willian, claim Sky Sports.

Barcelona are desperate to add some fresh options to their attacking ranks after losing Luis Suarez to injury and they consider Willian as an ideal fit.

However, Chelsea will not be prepared to lose the former Shakhtar Donetsk man without a fight, with the winger having been a key part of Lampard’s tenure so far.

Chelsea are exploring the possibility of bringing striker Jeremie Boga back to Stamford Bridge following his form for Sassuolo.

Boga only joined the Italian side for £2m back in 2018 but has made impressive viewing.

Even though the Blues are monitoring the 23-year-old, it is reported by Foot Mercato per Sport Witness that Chelsea would not be making a move for him until the summer.

Transfer News: Chelsea is ready to surrender Willian to Juventus, Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Frank Lampard’s hopes of adding a new attacker are waning entering the final day of the January window.

Chelsea are said to have blocked a move for Olivier Giroud this month.

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season and it has led to links with Inter Milan, Tottenham and Newcastle United.

However, according to L’Equipe, Giroud will be staying at Stamford Bridge ‘unless there is a miracle’ on Friday.

Chelsea have been unable to find a replacement for the striker with Tammy Abraham injured and Michy Batshuayi failing to convince.
