According reports from different media, Lyon have rejected an offer of around £34 million from Chelsea for the striker, as they search for competition for Tammy Abraham.
The media claims that the Blues are willing to pay up to €40 million (£34 million), but Lyon are determined to keep hold of their man, meaning Chelsea will have to up their offer.
The speculation surrounding their player, Lyon have made a move to send a hands-off warning to any club who may be showing an interest.
Based on the statement released by the club as “Olympique Lyonnais has taken note of certain information relayed by the media suggesting that Moussa Dembele could interest other clubs during this transfer window”.
“Lyon would like to reaffirm its wish, as in the summer of 2019, to keep Moussa Dembele.
“The club has full confidence in Moussa and counts in particular on him to build a successful team for the seasons to come.”
Although, there was one previous saga where the club were confident of keeping a player, just one week before selling him.
