Bankole is a former Speaker of the House of Representatives while his bride is the daughter of a serving governor .

A former House of Representatives Speaker, Rt Honourable Dimeji Bankole will on Friday, January 15 get married to Miss Aisha Shinkafi Saidu, step-daughter of Kebbi state governor, Atiku Bagudu.

The Nation reports that Bankole is taking another shot at marriage after divorcing his first wife in 2017.

The bride, a lawyer, and graduate of the University of Hull in the UK is a daughter of the governor’s wife from her previous marriage.

At the introduction ceremony, Sokoto Governor and Bankole’s successor as Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, led the groom’s family to the bride’s family home to seek her hand in marriage.

51-years old Bankole is from Iporo in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state.
